What is FootballBid?
FootballBid is a paid fan-status leaderboard for football. Supporters pay to back a club or a player; the supporter with the highest cumulative settled stake becomes that entity’s FootballBid Owner, and that winning stake is the FootballBid Value used to rank every team and player on the site. It is an independent entertainment project, not affiliated with any club, league, federation or player.
What is “FootballBid Value”?
FootballBid Value is the current FootballBid Owner’s cumulative stake on a team or player. It is the single number used to order every FootballBid ranking: the global board, league and cup boards and, for players, the position board. It is not a market value, transfer fee, player valuation, club valuation, betting price or sporting rating.
How are FootballBid rankings calculated?
Each team and player has exactly one FootballBid Value: the current owner’s cumulative settled stake. Rankings sort by that value from highest to lowest. Money paid by supporters who were outbid is never added to an entity’s value, so a club whose owner holds a $5,000 stake ranks above a club whose owner holds $4,980, even if the second club has received more money in total. Sporting performance is never a factor.
What happens when someone outbids me?
They become the FootballBid Owner and their stake becomes the entity’s new FootballBid Value. Your earlier payments are not refunded because you were outbid, but they still count: your stake is cumulative, so to retake you only add enough to clear the new owner’s stake by the minimum increment.
Can I get a refund?
Contributions are payments for a ranking and status experience that is delivered immediately, so being outbid does not entitle you to a refund. If a payment is refunded or reversed for another reason, that amount is removed from your stake and ownership of the entity is recomputed deterministically. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected; see the Terms.
Do I need an account to bid?
No. You can pay without signing in. Until you sign in and choose a public profile, you appear on the board as “Private owner” or “Private bidder”. You can claim your stakes later by signing in with the email used at checkout.
Does FootballBid ownership mean I own part of a club or player?
No. “FootballBid Owner” is a status inside FootballBid only. It gives you the displayed owner spot while your stake is highest. It creates no ownership, equity, shares, voting rights, contract, investment or legal relationship with the real club, player, league or competition.
